JOYCE ISABELLA HOWE (nee COOK) Joyce passed away peacefully on January 3, 2007; she had been ill for about a month and was just worn out. She's now joined our dad and mom, Joe and Peggy Cook, and Jim her husband and love of her life. She was born in Winnipeg on August 12, 1926 and felt sorry for those people who weren't born here. She worked 38 years for Eaton's, in the record department, retiring in 1980. She kept those friends for always - and belonged with pride to Eaton's retirement group. She enjoyed everyday of her life because of her friends from Eaton's and those from the Shrine and pipe band. She was truly blessed with a great sense of humour and her close friends were the same. Joyce also belonged to the Daughters of the Nile. She is survived by her brother Brian and sister Marion, many nieces and nephews. We want to thank those who helped and comforted us through this difficult time. We can't name everyone in case we missed someone. You know who you are and how blessed she was to have you in her life. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, at Thomson Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Interment of Joyce's cremated remains will be private at Thomson In the Park.
