Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDANIEL JOHN SANCAN SR. December 24, 1933 - December 21, 2006 It is with great sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of our husband/ father Dan. He will be forever missed by his wife of 29 years, Dale and children, Karen (Lorne), Bruce (Denise), Laura (Glenn), Dan Jr. (Kelly), Kris, Corinna, and Marc. He is also survived by his sisters, Doreen (Louis) and Dianne (Ron); as well as many grandchildren and extended family members. Dan began his long career in the printing industry out of high school at Zambruk Printing and went on to work at and eventually manage several printing companies including Hignell Printing Co., Superior Envelopes, Gravure Graphics, Pennex, Printers Aid, and Fahlke Printing. In need of a change, Dan became self-employed in the construction industry where he used his considerable talents in new home building. His knowledge and expertise eventually led him back to the printing trade and to his most loved job as teacher of Graphic Arts at Tec Voc. His life was greatly enriched by the students and staff that he had had the pleasure of meeting and working with, many with whom he maintained friendships with the rest of his life. In his retirement years, Dan, always good with his hands and with a love of carpentry, kept active in designing, building and renovating. He always applied a creative approach to everything in life. Dan / Dad, you will be forever loved. Flowers gratefully declined. If you wish, please make donations to the Humane Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Service will be held on January 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to: THOMSON'S FUNERAL HOME 669 Broadway 783-7211
