Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMURRAY GEORGE BARRON Murray George Barron, of Fairview Home, Brandon, MB and formerly of Beausejour, MB, went Home to Glory, Friday, January 5, 2007. He leaves behind his beloved wife of almost 64 years, Helena (Best); two daughters, Lynn-Marie (Wil Warkentin) and Janis (John Leigh); nine grandchildren, Lisa, Paul (Cheryle), Krista (David Claus), Jon (Alejandra), James (Jodi) Warkentin, Timothy, Karuna, Sumita and Pavitra Leigh; and seven great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ethan, Bryce, and Jeremiah; Euan and Elena and Apsley . Murray is survived by one brother, Norman (Joyce) of Barwick, Ontario, and one sister, Mildred (Dan McInnes) of London, Ontario, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends that he made throughout his long life. He was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Gertrude (Breakenridge) Barron, and two brothers, Harold and Roy. Murray was born in Vidora, Saskatchewan. He weathered the Depression near Macoun, Saskatchewan, served overseas during the Second World War, farmed in the Beausejour area until 1959, and was Assistant Postmaster in Beausejour and later a clerk at True Value (MacLeod's) Hardware until his retirement in 1992. He and Helen moved to Brandon in 1998 to be near family. Although Murray suffered from the limitations of Alzheimer's, he never lost his sense of humor, his love of people, nor his faith in Jesus. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Elim Baptist Church, Beausejour, MB. Interment will follow in the Beausejour Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2007 from 6:30 p.m. 8:30 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, MB and at the church prior to the service.
