IRENE MURIEL BADALI After a brief illness, Irene passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, January 8, 2007 at the age of 87. She will be greatly missed by her son John (Jeanette) and grandson Jason; sons, George and Leon (Jenny) of Winnipeg; daughter Joan Andrich (Don); grandchildren, Dean (Jodie), Kathy and Chris; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Miya of St. Albert, AB; brother Brian; sister Eleanore and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Gillis and Gudrun Johnson; her ex-husband George; brother Alfred and sisters, Anna, Aurora, Maria and Florence. Mom will be remembered for her quiet ways and great strength of character. Her family always came first and her grandchildren, especially Jason, benefited from grandma's gentle nature and generosity. After working at various sales and office jobs, mom retired and was happy that her son, George, was always there to help with the chores. Following mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a small gathering of family for a private interment. In lieu of flowers, hug your mom and count your blessings.
