Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE ANDREW (ANDY) MOWATT It comes with deep sadness that we have to announce the sudden passing of our dad, Andy from Norway House, Manitoba. He will be cherished in memories by his wife Yvonne, his children Andrew (Loretta), Karen (Jake), Allan (Melanie), Kimberly (Fred) along those who knew him only as Papa , his precious grandchildren Michelle, Angela, Shawn, Brett, Scott, Hillary and Marshall and great-grandchild Keithen. Dad was predeceased by his father Stanley, mother Margaret, brother Clifford, sister Lillian and granddaughter Wynonna. Dad was born on June 28, 1937 at Warren's Landing, Manitoba and appreciated the life that came with growing up and living on Lake Winnipeg. He loved the life the lake offered and choose to raise his family along those same shores and to have the same deep appreciation for the natural wonders of Lake Winnipeg. In the early years Dad worked on many of the boats that traveled Lake Winnipeg before becoming a Commercial Fisherman until his retirement a few years ago. It was then that Dad had time to captured the memories of the Lake for us to remember by his creative reproduction models of the modes of transportation on Lake Winnipeg On of his greatest joys was sharing his experiences of his life on the Lake. Dad also was a member of the Norway House Community Council and had a strong belief in all that could benefit the community. On December 30, 2006 dad and mom celebrated 45 years of marriage and through their strong faith in the Lord they lived a wonderful life. Dad will also be remembered by special cousin Herb Mowatt (Edmonton), his numerous relatives in the Mowatt, Paupanekis and Mcleod families along with all his family and friends. A funeral will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Norway House Revivial Centre. Our family wish to thank Pastor Ed Lytle for his caring friendship and Pastors Frankie Clarke, Jackie and Ed Sandberg for words of comfort.
