Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE (ROSIE) DUMA It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the family wishes to announce a tearful and sudden farewell to Rose on Monday, January 8, 2007 at the Beausejour Health Centre. Her memory will be cherished by her son Clifford (Corliss); daughter Beverley (Ron) Flatt; grandchildren, Peggy (Leonard), Kareen (Troy), Curtis (Jackie), Wesley (Carrie), Kevin (Deanne) and Vanessa; great-grandchildren, Syngin, Piper, Tydus, Kolton, Samantha, Wyatt, Heather and Curtis; brothers, Joe (Olga) Gmiterek, Stan (Jean) Gmiterek; sisters, Mary More and Helen Fandych. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Duma; brothers, Eddie, Mike, Anton and John; sisters, Jean and Katie and parents, Joseph and Caroline Gmiterek. Rose was born on March 2, 1922 at her homestead in Brokenhead where she later farmed with her loving husband Joe until their retirement to Beausejour. She enjoyed many things from gardening, sewing, listening to Ukrainian music to making perogies and holubtsi for visits from family and friends on long Sunday afternoons. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she was most proud of, celebrating their accomplishments and milestones and many, many birthday parties. Many thanks to all her friends and sister Helen at Armstrong Manor for all the countless and enjoyable hours of card playing and puzzling. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 13 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Atlantic Avenue, Beausejour, MB with Rev. Fr. David Brabant presiding. Interment will follow at the Parish Cemetery. Prayers will be said on Friday, January 12 at 7:30 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. East, Beausejour. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in Rose's memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6, Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or to a charity of one's choice. Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Wesley Zechel, Curtis Duma, Leonard Scholz, Troy Vernon and nephews, Randy Gmiterek and Allan Fandych.
