Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERALD (JERRY) RAYMOND PALMER Peacefully, after a good life and a short illness, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away at Stevenson Memorial Hospital, Alliston, ON on Wednesday, January 10, 2007. Jerry will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Georgina; son Mark (Darlene); granddaughters, Crystal and Brittany; brothers, Dennis (Janice), Bob; and sister Darlene (Gary); and many friends. Predeceased by his beloved son Chris in 1976, and his mother Mollie in 1997. Jerry was born February 18, 1930 in London, England. He grew up in Winnipeg. Jerry and Georgina were married in Winnipeg on July 4, 1952. They soon welcomed their two sons into their hearts and lives. They made their home in Winnipeg until 1971 when they moved to Montreal, then Toronto and Clearwater, FL. In 2000, they returned to Canada and made Alliston their home. Jerry started his flying career with Trans Canada Airlines in 1951 and retired from Air Canada, February 1985 after 33 years and four months service. He spent the last 14 years of his career training young pilots. Early retirement afforded him the time to travel and live in Florida and spend time with his family. A Memorial Service will be held at W. John Thomas Funeral Home, 244 Victoria St. E., Alliston, ON on Saturday, January 13, at 1:30 p.m. If so desired, memorial donations to Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation, 200 Fletcher Crescent, Alliston, ON L9R 1W7 would be appreciated.
