Wally was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, where he was top handicap citywide in billiards for many years. He also loved golfing and gardening in former years, and word puzzles in later years. Dad had a wonderful sense of humour, which he employed to good effect in almost all circumstances. He was meticulous in everything he did, and cared deeply about his family.
