GRACE SKEA GOLDING (nee STRACHAN) It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving mother, Grace Golding, on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the age of 66. Grace was born in Glasgow, Scotland on September 11, 1940 and came to Canada with her family in 1953 at the tender age of 12. Here Grace spent her years growing up in Transcona where she met the love of her life - Albert. Together they nurtured and loved seven children and spent 47 wonderful years together until Dad's passing on August 14, 2004. Mom will be deeply missed by her loving children, Kathy (Dave), Donna (Lou), Ed (Barb), Darlene (Barry), Jim, Rob (Charlene), Noreen (Rob); her mother Matti Strachan; sister Jean (Ken) James, numerous grandchildren, family and friends. Grace was predeceased by her husband, Albert; her father Wilson; her brother Jim and other family members. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and support and to Gary and Betty for their love and friendship through the years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with Rev. Edna Perry officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Mom - You were Grace by name and grace by nature We will miss you dearly, but take comfort in knowing you are safe in Dad's arms, and one day we will all be together again.
