Al was born in Dauphin, MB on September 20, 1917. The Rzesnoski's were one of the original pioneer families to arrive from Poland in 1897 and live in the Keld District southwest of Dauphin. Al went to school in Dauphin. He had a lifetime of retailing experience dating back to 1933. After his father's death, Al along with his brother Art, and his sisters, Isabelle and Jay, kept the family business operating until 1942. Al then married the love of his life, Yvonne Dufault and went into the Army. Upon his return in 1946, he went to work for his father-in-law Joe Dufault, as the manager of Cruise Dairy. Al built and operated the Star Drive-In from 1957 until 1962. After the drive-in was sold, Al started working at The People Store . He accepted a partnership at The People Store and worked until his retirement in 1982. Al and Yvonne enjoyed their fishing camp at Waterhen, MB. Al enjoyed fishing and hunting with his brother Art, son Harry and friends. He was a proud and an accomplished gardener. Many friends and family fondly referred to Al as Guido and everyone enjoyed his sense of humour and gracious company. Al was a founder and honorary life member of the Dauphin Knights of Columbus, Council #3497. Al will be deeply missed by his daughter Beverly MacIntyre; his son Harry (Arlene) Rzesnoski; his grandchildren, Ken (Miaka) MacIntyre, Jeff MacIntyre, Perry Rzesnoski and Tyrrill Rzesnoski. He also leaves to mourn his sister-in-law Lillian Wood of Dauphin; his nephews, Terry (Barb) Rzesnoski and Jerome (Jane) Wood of Winnipeg. Dear Yvonne and family, You have my deepest condoleances. I too married the love of my life. It is not easy to let them go into the light and remain behind. You are here now for your children and your grandchildren who need you. You are now the matriarch of your family, like the hub at the centre of the wheel. All I can tell you is that your husband watches over as a guardian angel every day. You are never alone. - Posted by: Yvonne Germaine Dufault (unknown - could be a branch from the early 1600s when Dufaults came to Canada) on: Nov 01, 2017
