Harry was born on February 14, 1945 in Fishing River, grew up in Portage la Prairie and made his life in Winnipeg. Harry had a successful 35 year career that began with Air Canada and ended with IBM. His passion in life was cars and travel. Harry and Theresa travelled the world on business and for pleasure and took advantage of every opportunity to experience a new adventure. Be it a typhoon in Hong Kong or an earthquake in Trinidad, there were many memorable times exploring foreign countries that will be cherished. Harry's wish was to lead by example and to impart to all of his children his strong work ethic, independence, to always be the best you can be and to take on challenges with courage and strength. Harry had many successes in his life, one of his greatest being his five year battle with cancer. Against all odds, he overcame adversity with his hope and will to survive. He was indeed a Miracle Man. Special thanks to doctors, Jeyakumar and Maxwell and staff and volunteers of Victoria Hospital, special nurses, Astrid, Eleanor, Jackie, and Penny and special volunteer Horst. A memorial service will be held at Thomson In The Park , 1291 McGillivray Blvd. on Monday, January 15 at 2:00 p.m. Donations may be made in Harry's memory to the volunteers to the Guild of Victoria General Hospital, Oncology Re-Development Fund, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 9Z9.
