MARY FABIAN Mary passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at the Betel Home in Selkirk. Mary was born in Winnipeg on February 5, 1931, an only child. Her father was a carpenter and her mother worked at a funeral home. Both parents predeceased Mary. Mary went to Norway School in Winnipeg but did not stay long because she did not have access to appropriate medication to control her seizures. From the age of 12 she made the Selkirk Mental Health Centre her home for most of her life. Mary moved to Betel Home in March 2003. In both places she found a home in many hearts. Mary loved to remember the names of everyone she met, she loved to participate in activities and church services, she loved outings and her bead collections. She is missed by all her friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 15 at 1:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Fr. Dado Parrenas officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Michael's Cemetery, Selkirk. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
