DENNIS CLAYTON REID April 26, 1927 - January 4, 2007 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather on January 4, 2007 at his home in Charleswood. Dennis is survived by his son Darrell (Barb) of Neepawa; daughter Traci of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Marlo (Kelly) of Banff, Kristen of Edmonton; great-granddaughters, Kate and Grace; brother Kevin; and sisters, Dean and Arlene (Bruce); brother-in-law Budd Macneill; and his very good friend Barb Keks. He was predeceased by his wife Yvonne in 1982. Dennis was an avid curler and was honoured as a lifetime member of the Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club for his many years of service as treasurer. In 1983, he curled lead on the Lloyd Gunnlaugson rink, capturing the Canadian Seniors Championship. It was a proud moment for all when their rink was inducted into the Curling Hall of Fame in 1994. Golf was another of his passions and was a member of Breezy Bend Golf Club for 30 years. He continued his putt and brunch with this group of friends until very recently. It was Dad's request that there be no funeral service. If friends so desire donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
