NAN ELIZABETH MORRISON (nee CLARK) Nan Elizabeth (Betty Nan), descendant of Duncan McLean and his Metis wife Margaret Muir, was born in St. Boniface on October 7, 1930. She lived in St. Vital where she went to school at Windsor School and Glenlawn Collegiate. She continued her schooling at the University of Manitoba where she completed her diploma in physiotherapy. She then went on to the University of McMaster in Hamilton, ON where she finished a Masters in Health Science. She lived in various cities in Canada, and spent a year in London, England. She loved to travel. After she married Neil Morrison, they travelled extensively together. They spent many spring holidays in the Bahamas. Every summer they had a holiday in the Muskokas. After Neil passed away, Elizabeth continued her travels, namely to China, Alaska, Churchill, South America and several trips to France. Her trip to Peru gave her much joy as she met one of her Foster Plan children, Ediana. Trips to France enhanced her love of cooking. Everywhere she travelled, she took many photographs. In 2005 she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. She is survived by her sisters, Marylin Clark, Vancouver, Joan Joos, niece Michelle Joos, Ottawa, MaryJane Sabean (Phillip) Pugwash, niece Kim McMillan-Caron, children Hannah and Jacob Caron, niece Tracey Palmer, children Sarah and Emily Palmer, Janet Clark, widow of Elizabeth's brother Kelly Clark, well-known artist of Winnipeg, Donna Morrison, Hamilton, George and Jean Morrison, Burlington and her many friends. She was predeceased by husband Neil, sisters Terri, Marguerite and brother Kelly. Elizabeth spent a year in Ottawa and in 2002 she moved to Pugwash, Nova Scotia, home of the Peace Exchange. She bought the oldest house in the village which is situated on the Pugwash Basin. She enjoyed the extensive old trees and perennial gardens. She remained in Pugwash, a village she considered paradise, with her cat, Bonnie Prince Charlie, until she moved into the Divine Light January 8, 2007. Flowers gratefully declined.
