Remaining to forever cherish Mom's memory are her sons, David (Joyce), Donald (Adrienne); daughter Colleen (Jeff); eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also rvived by her beloved sister Gladys. Kathlyn was predeceased in 1988 by George, her dear husband of 44 years of marriage. Born in Winnipeg on November 23, 1914, Mom was educated and resided in St. James from her very early years. She entered the work force as a young woman, working many years for Eaton's Mail Order, and then during the war for MacDonald Aircraft. After marrying Dad in 1943, Mom devoted herself to raising her family, and nothing pleased her more than being able to care for her grand-children. They will remember their Nana for the many hours she spent teaching them card games and for always having a full cookie tin. She was always there for us - just to listen, not to judge. Kathlyn's latter years were spent at Golden West Centennial Lodge where she made many new friends. Mom was known for keeping everyone updated on the latest sports scores and for her never-ending crosswords. She always spoke highly of the staff and considered herself fortunate to have found this new home and for that, the family is truly thankful. In compliance with Mom's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held and a private family interment and gathering will take place at a later date. If friends so desire, donations in Mom's memory may be made to Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2Y 0S8. Kathlyn's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
