JOHN MANCHULENKO June 28, 1934 - January 11, 2007 With his family by his side, it is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our loving Dad, John Manchulenko. Dad will be missed by his loving wife Reta, son John Roy (Diane) Sandy Bradley, son Jim, Matthew, Jordan and their mother Sherre, daughter Maureen (Frank) Drake, Tanner, Reid. Brothers and sisters, Mary (Alex), Bill (Phyllis), Kathleen, Peter (Annette) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother and father George and Nellie, sister Olga and brother George. Dad started his career with the Hudson Bay Appliance service department for 33 years. Looking for a change in life, the decision was made to move to Niverville to live and work on the family Dairy Farm. His next venture was to start his own business Supreme Appliance where the Osborne business association named him Mr. Fix It. Dad retired several years later to begin retirement with winters in Palm Springs and summers golfing and boating at his cottage in Grindstone Park. He enjoyed planning fly-in fishing trips for his sons and grandchildren. Many great memories were made on these trips to last a life time. Dad was a person that could never say no to anyone in need, and for those who knew him loved him and had a friend for life. Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, January 15 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 16 at St. George Orthodox Church, 121 Harvard Ave. East, Transcona with Rev. Fr. Myron Klysh presiding. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Gary Manchulenko, Howard Manchulenko, Kenneth Manchulenko, Donald Manchulenko, Douglas Neufeld and Al Schirmacher. Special thanks are extended to the 5th floor staff of the Victoria General Hospital and a special thanks to his nurse Lisa for her compassion in keeping Dad comfortable. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dad to the St. George Orthodox Church. Dad, you will always remain in our hearts and forever be loved. A loving father, tender and kind, What a beautiful memory you leave behind. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
