GORDON PERCY DOUGLAS 1935 - 2007 It is with great sadness the family of Gordon Douglas announces his passing on Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Selkirk General Hospital at the age of 71 years. Gord will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Irene, daughter Cecelia (Gerry) Brodyk, son Russell (Lise) Douglas and their children Megan and Amy, daughter Michelle (Shane) Bernier and their children Natasha, Lauren and Lucas, cherished canine companion Sam. Also survived by brothers Jack (Alice) Douglas and their family, Roy (Gail) Douglas and their family, sister-in-law Evelyn (Ralph) Boonov and their family. Gord will be missed by many dear friends. Gord was predeceased by his parents Win and Perc Douglas, mother-in-law Anne Myskiw and father-in-law Sam Slota. Gord worked in the electrical and heating industry and was self employed for many years. Gord lived out his dream of residing in Petersfield, MB at The Lake , constructed by his hard working hands. Many cherished memories were made at The Lake . Gord had been involved in the Scottish Rite and Khartum Shrine, and a member of the Directors staff. Gord was a loving husband, father, and grandfather to his family, always willing to lend a hand. Over the years Gord's skills and expertise were highly regarded. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January, 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., located at 984 Portage Avenue (entrance on Aubrey Street).
