ELSIE ALBERTINA APPEL On January 13, 2007 Mrs. Elsie Appel of Winnipeg passed away peacefully at the Bethania Personal Care Home at the age of 97 years. She will be missed by one son Gordon Appel of Edmonton; four daughters, Frances Pringle of Dryden, Ontario, Joyce (Arnie) Cooper of Vermilion Bay, Ontario, Elaine (Mac) Wilson of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Shirley (Jim) Shaw of Kenora, Ontario. She will be lovingly remembered by 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, as well as one brother Rudy (Evelyn) Schultz of Osoyoos, British Columbia. Elsie is predeceased by her husband Henry and sons, Roland and Edgar. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Vermilion Bay Lutheran Church with Reverend James Woods officiating. Interment to follow at the Waldhof Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 2B7.
