Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANK KOLBUCK After a valiant struggle, Frank Kolbuck of Fisher Branch, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2007, at Percy Moore Hospital, at the age of 86 years. Frank will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his beloved son Jerry and daughter-in-law Donna of Winnipeg; his devoted companion Mary Kowalchuk of Fisher Branch; sisters, Jean Woloshyn, Sudbury, ON, Josephine Perchalski, Tuscon, Arizona; and Victoria LaPrairie, Sudbury, ON and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mildred; parents, Julia, Joseph (wife Josephine); brother Steve; sisters, Mary Davidow and Rose Capar; and brother-in-law Jerry Huk. Frank was born on July 21, 1920 and raised in Fisher Branch. Frank farmed throughout his life and when he met and married Mildred in October, 1943, they remained in Fisher Branch where their only son Jerry was also born and raised. For a number of years, Frank worked for the Department of Highways. In 1976, Frank and Jerry opened Jerry's Esso in Fisher Branch, which they owned and operated until 1981. Frank and Mildred were married for 51 years when Mildred passed away in 1994. In Frank's later years, he was fortunate to have Mary Kowalchuk in his life. Together they shared many coffees, dinners, crib games and tours of the Interlake. We are forever grateful for the love and support Mary gave him. One of Frank's greatest pleasures was playing crib - if he could talk someone into having a quick game, he was indeed a happy guy. He always treasured time spent with his family - Jerry was definitely his pride and joy. Frank was a generous, kind, loving father, brother, uncle and friend and will be deeply missed. We will miss his gentle humour and that sparkle in his eye. He was regarded as a true gentleman. Jerry and Donna wish to express their sincere gratitude for the care given by the staff at Percy Moore Hospital and this past summer, the staff at the Cardiac Care Unit, St. Boniface Hospital. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Fisher Personal Care Home who took wonderful care of Frank over the past year and one half. A special thanks to Dr. Delabie for his compassion and commitment to Frank's care and to Frank's buddy Yvonne, for all the visits and the caring phone calls to him. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation in Frank's memory may be made to Handi Van Inc., Fisher Personal Care Home, Fisher Branch, MB, attention: Bob Schreyer, or to a charity of choice.
