BRUCE D. BROATCH Bruce D. Broatch passed away in Calgary on Monday, January 8, 2007 at the age of 70 years. Bruce will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rose; two sons, Rob and Scott and granddaughter Sydney all of Calgary. Bruce was born in Winnipeg to Violet and Jim and was raised and schooled in St. James. After his schooling was completed Bruce came west and worked in Alberta. He met his wife Rose in 1954, whom he married in 1956, they celebrated 50 years in June. He is also survived by his mother Violet and sister Diane (Reid), both of Winnipeg; brothers, Wayne (Leslie) of Surrey, BC and Jim of Lacombe, AB; sister-in-law Rose of Ontario, also numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Bruce was predeceased by his father James and brother Ralph. He leaves many of Rose's family and close friends that both Bruce and Rose enjoyed golf and good times with. It was Bruce's wish that no service be held and his ashes be placed in a predetermined spot.
