GORDON H. SCOTT February 17, 1927 - January 15, 2007 Peacefully at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital with his family by his side. Loving husband of Joyce for 56 years, father of Valerie (Carl Vajda) and Laurie (Stephen Morling). Predeceased by his daughter Kristie. Best Grandpa of Charlene, Kristie and Matthew. Beloved brother of Norma Buchanan, Rosemary Hutchins and Ford Scott and his wife Marlene. Also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Gord was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces (32 years), a member of the 1946 Winnipeg Monarchs, Memorial Cup Champions and a member of the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame. He was Past President of the OVGA, longtime member of Cedarhill Country Club and the City View Curling Club. He founded the Ottawa Valley Junior Intersectional Golf program in 1985. A longtime coach and referee in Nepean and Laval, PQ minor hockey programs. Friends and family may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd. (between Bayshore and Baseline Road), Nepean on Thursday, January 18, 2007, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Bells Corners United Church, 3955 Richmond Rd., Nepean on Friday at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Queensway-Carleton Hospital Association would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the Emergency Room staff and 3rd Floor Surgery stall for all their kindness - a special thanks to Vicki.
