JOHN WILLIAM HALL It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of John Hall at the age of 89. John has gone to be with his wife, Irene, who predeceased him on September 25, 2003. He leaves to mourn his passing two sons, David and Brian, grandchildren Leesa, Corey, Jordon, and Brendan and three great-granddaughters, Kylie, Hannah, and Rachel. John was born on February 11, 1917 in Essex County, Ontario and married Irene November 12, 1946. Employed by BC Sugar after graduating university, he and Irene moved to the Dominican Republic in 1947. They spent six happy years there, golfing, enjoying the tropics, and the birth of their two sons. They returned to Canada in 1953 eventually retiring in Winnipeg in 1982. John was a member of the Fort Garry United Church and a member at the Wildewood Golf and Country Club. He was an avid curler and golfer and continued his physical activity later in life at the Reh-Fit Centre, until his move to Okotoks, AB in 2003. With a love for gardening, John took great pride in his orchids. Everytime we see an orchid we will think of you. We miss you and love you so much. Cremation has taken place as per John's wishes and his ashes will join Irene's in Leamington, ON. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 19 at Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Road at 1:30 p.m.
