Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANLEY JOSEPH HANS On Tuesday, January 16, 2007, after a brief illness, Stan passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. He will be sadly missed by his wife Anne, daughter Pamela and son-in-law Jason. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Stan was predeceased by his mother Josephine, father Stephen and brother Frank. Stan grew up in Winnipeg's North End. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy in the Second World War. After the war, he married Anne and they spent one year in Montréal where he studied clothing design. After returning from Montréal, Stan returned to work in the garment trade and then had his own garment business called the Model Manufacturing Company. He employed many people and got along well with all of them. Stan enjoyed traveling especially his many trips to Acapulco, cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska and trips to visit his daughter in Philadelphia. Stan was a member of Christ The King Church, The Norwood St. Boniface Legion and Knights of Columbus. Special thanks to Drs. West and Hechtenthal, and the nurses and staff at the PANSU unit at Seven Oaks General Hospital, especially Norma, Mary, Gina, Amanda, Lee, Ursula and KC for their tender and loving care. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the King Church, 847 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba, or the charity of your choice. Prayers will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2007, at 7:00 p.m., in Christ the King Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 19, 2007, at 10:00 a.m., in Christ the King Church. Interment will follow the reception in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
