ODDNY (AUDREY) HARRIOTT (nee HJORLEIFSON) Peacefully on January 16, 2007, Oddny (Audrey) Harriott (nee Hjorleifson), aged 83 years, passed away with her family by her side at Seven Oaks Hospital. Oddny was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Harriott; brother Frank Hjorleifson; sisters, Gudny (Toots) Albertson, Jonina (Jona) Chalmers, and Mae Reid. She is survived by brother Magnus (Mike) (Beryl) Hjorleifson; daughter Gail (Bill) Whyte; sons, Bill (Dianne) and Jim (Dawn) Harriott; grandchildren, William (Padma) Whyte, Ryan, Jamie and Kerilyn Harriott, Nolan (Vanessa) Harriott, Ariel (Brian) Tanner; great-grandchild Taylor Plourde, and sister-in-law Marlene Watson. She was born and raised in Winnipeg Beach and lived extensively in northern and western Canada. She has resided in the Winnipeg area since 1966. Oddny was a kind and caring person who loved being with her family. Her sense of humour kept her family and friends in stitches, even to the end. Oddny loved her apartment at the Hedges where she enjoyed many friends and activities. The family would like to thank the staff of 5 Unit 7 at Seven Oaks Hospital for their kindness and compassion. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Rev. Deborah Vitt officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Oddny's memory to the Cloverdale United Church, c/o Rob Cox, 118 Montgomery Ave., Selkirk MB R1A 3Z4.
