EDWARD F. KUEHN (KUHN) Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Kuehn on Monday, January 15, 2007, at St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 67 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Olga; children, Dawn Kuehn (Joe) of Kelowna, BC and Sheri Bakker (Cory) of Winnipeg, Lori Marchiori (Robert) of Vancouver, BC and Brett Kuehn (Kathryn) of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Ariel, Max, Amanda, Kierstyn, Derek, Trevor, Bradley, Jessica and William. His extended children, Wendy Prince, Terry Malach (Bud) and Michael Malach, all of Winnipeg; grand-children, Melanie (Sean), Jonathan (Pamela), Christian and Victoria, along with special cousins and their families. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Ferdinand and Martha Marion Kühn, and many aunts and uncles. In his youth he played amateur football. He also enjoyed playing baseball, and curling with his co-workers. Ed joined the CPRail Police Department as a Constable in 1965 and retired as a Sergeant after 25 years. Ed enjoyed going fishing with his friends, Olga and his children, and with relatives. Most of all, he looked forward to winter getaways with Olga, and their many, many short trips across the border to play some slots at which his luck payed off a couple of times. Ed (Dad) also enjoyed many wonderful years with his children and grandchildren, and he will be greatly missed by them. Cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, January 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 East and Navin Road, with Pastor Stacy Moroz, of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Honourary pallbearers are Brett Kuehn and Michael Malach. Many thanks to the doctors and staff on Ward 6A and the Palliative Care Unit at the St. Boniface General Hospital. If friends so desire, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241
