MITCH LOVIC (MATO LOVOSEVIC) April 18, 1961 - January 16, 2007 It is with deep sadness and sorrow the family wishes to announce the tragic and sudden death of Mitch on January 16, 2007 at the age of 45 years. Mitch will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Linda. Mitch leaves behind his wife and best friend Linda; sisters, Maria (Tony) Jokic, Mandy (Ron) Meisner; mom and dad-in-law Fred and Irene Stabner; brother-in-law Skipp (Betty) Stabner; special friend Joyce Stabner, and nephews George, John, Scott and Sean. He also leaves behind uncles, aunts, cousins and many many good friends. Mitch was predeceased by his mother Stana; father Mirko, and brother-in-law and special friend Todd Stabner. Mitch was born in Yugoslavia and came to Canada with his family in 1973, where they made their home in Winnipeg. He initially attended high school and then began his working career with Wilson's Auto Electric where he worked for 19 years. During that time, he met and married his lifelong partner Linda. In 1998, he began working for BFI Canada and took great pride as a heavy equipment operator. Throughout his life's journey, Mitch made many everlasting friendships. There was a special place in his heart for children and animals. He was a man of many talents and could achieve anything he set his heart and mind to. The many joys in his life with his friends were fishing, travelling to Florida, going to Nascar races, snowmobiling and getting together for good times. A new journey has now begun and we will all miss his wonderful smile and his great sense of humour. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Sister Daria for her support and prayers.
