Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIE-MADELEINE LEMIRE 1916 - 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, sister and aunt, Marie-Madeleine Lemire (nee Roziere) on Tuesday, January 16 2007. Madeleine leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Rosemarie; son-in-law Gerald Stoesz; granddaughter Jacqueline Duhard (Christian); and grandsons, Matthew and Ian. She will be sadly missed by her sister Simone Berger and many nephews and nieces. Madeleine was predeceased by her parents, Cyrille and Marie-Perrine Roziere (nee Lancelot); her brothers, Leon, Augustin, Robert and Gustave, and sisters, Solange and Emelie; sisters-in-law, Ethel and Gertrude, brothers-in-law, Albert Berger and Steve Delley. Madeleine was born in Notre Dame de Lourdes on June 3, 1916. After the passing of her mother the family moved to Ste Genevieve. Madeleine was known for her independent streak, her strong work ethic and her ability to see the funny side of life. Apart from working for Home Care Services, Madeleine returned to school to upgrade her education. She was very proud of this, as education was very important to her. In later years, she kept herself occupied in many ways, visiting friends and family, sewing, indoor gardening, and knitting to donate many pairs of mittens and scarves to various inner city schools. The family would like to thank the staff at Foyer Valade for the wonderful personal care that they provided to Madeleine. A memorial service will be held on January 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, with reception to follow. Donations, if desired, may be forwarded to Foyer Valade Building Fund, 450 River Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2M 5M4. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home And Reception Centre 885-9715
