He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife Della (nee McArthur), and his sister Bessie Walters (Harry). Chuck was born in Onoway, Alberta, and spent most of his career in the R.C.A.F., joining in 1940 and serving with honour until 1969. On retirement from his military career, Chuck worked as an Examinations Officer with Manitoba Apprenticeship and Training until 1981. Chuck was a good husband, a good father, a good grandfather, a good friend, a good airman and a good man by all standards. He will be sadly missed by many. Sincere thanks to all the staff of Ward 3 South at the Grace Hospital, Pastor Brenda Arndt and to Dr. J. Joshua for their kind and gentle care. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, January 22, at 2:30 p.m. at the Army, Navy and Airforce Veterans in Canada Club located at 3584 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Chuck's memory to the Grace Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3J 3R7 or a charity of your choice.
