ANNE ELIZABETH (NANCY) CAPELLE (nee COX) On January 16, 2007 Nancy Capelle, beloved wife of Henry George Capelle, passed away peacefully at Tuxedo Villa in Winnipeg at the age of 92 years. Nancy and Henry had recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Nancy was born in Winnipeg in 1915, attended Kelvin High School and worked at Great West Life before her marriage to Henry. Her career was her family, whom she loved and nurtured. In earlier years she had been active at Sargent Park School and Harstone Memorial United Church. Nancy and Henry are the last survivors of a special group of friends that was formed in those days. She enjoyed garage sales and developed a discerning eye for undervalued treasures. She took pride in her French Provincial furniture and figurines. Her religion was important to her, and although she did not attend church in latter times, her faith was continuing. She is survived by her husband, Henry George Capelle and her three sons and their families: Ron Capelle and Karen King and their sons, Geoff and Graeme; Ken Capelle and Shelley Saunders and their sons, Stephen and David; and Harry Capelle and his daughter Susan. Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of her life has been held. Interment will take place at a later date. Our thanks to the staff of Tuxedo Villa for their loving care of Nancy over the past six years. She is gone but not forgotten. She will continue to be much loved.
