Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID FRASER CRUICKSHANK David passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 in the St. Boniface Hospital. David was born in Edmonton on February 7, 1928 and was predeceased by his mother, Doris and father, David. He will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of, his spouse, Deanna McAlpine and her children Kerry (Cindy) Pasloski and Evan Pasloski; and, in the hearts and minds of, his wife, Bernice, and their children, Danice (Roberto), Lynda (David) Whale, Janice (Jim) Riddell, Richard (Leslie Regelous) and grandchildren, Scott (Freida Lo) Riddell, Katherine Riddell, Bonnie Cruickshank and Mackenzie (Cheryl Feldstein) Cruickshank and David's brother, Donald (Doreen). David began a long and distinguished career in broadcasting in 1946 with CFGP, Grande Prairie, moving to CFRN in Edmonton and later, until 1979, with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. From 1979 until his retirement in 1983, he was the Executive Director of the Alcoholism Foundation of Manitoba. For 38 years, David dedicated much of his life to A.A. and helping many of it's members. He was a loving son, brother, spouse, husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He was well loved and is finally at peace and in the hands of God. Serenity Prayer GOD, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 22 at 10:30 a.m. in Kirkfield Park United Church, 472 Kirkfield St. at McBey.
