Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR RUSSELL (RUSS) ROBINSON Suddenly on January 17, 2007, at his family home, and after a lengthy illness, Arthur Russell (Russ) Robinson passed away. He was predeceased by his wife Marguerite Ann in 1990; mother Evelyn in 1988; brother Alex in 1988; sister Alvina in 2005; and great-granddaughter Cory-Ann in 1996. Russell is survived by his son Sean Russell; grandchildren, Erin and Adam (and their mother Katherine); and great-granddaughter Breeanne. Daughter Suzanne Patricia McMahon (Brian), grandchildren, Gerri Stewart (Shane), great-grandchildren, Bryce and Cara. Jennifer McMahon (Jeff) and great-granddaughter Reagan. Ryan with great-grandchildren, Colton and Liam (and their mother Sarah). Son Brian Michael (Jayne), with their extended family. Cary-Michael and his daughters, Cera and Emmy, (and their mother Nicole). Angela Schmitt (Mike) and son Mickey. Andee Sanders (Kyle). Son Craig Patrick (Tammy) with grand-children, Jarred and Samantha. Russell was also survived by his sister Lucille of Dryden, ON, his brother Lorne (Gay) of Coquitlam, BC, sister Darlene McDonald (Larry) of Bellingham, WA, brother David and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to both Dorothy and Maureen who were with our father and grandfather to the end and held a special place in his heart. Russell retired from the Royal Canadian Air Force after a 20 year career and returned to his childhood home of Winnipeg, where he was employed as a telecommunication technician of CP Rail. With in a short period of time he returned to the employ of the Federal Government, Transport Canada as a Nav Aids technician at the Winnipeg International Airport until he retired in 1991. Russell had many passions, including the love of his grandchildren, fishing, travelling with his travel companion Maya Kiera, a long-haired Miniature Dachshund. He was also an avid baseball fan from the early years of the airport league as a player, to his next job as a coach and manager of the Neiman Knights, to his later enjoyment as a fan of the Winnipeg Goldeyes. Russ was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and Army Navy Air Force Veterans in Canada, the Rockwood branch, and enjoyed the Saturday afternoon meat draws and dart leagues. As a previous cancer survivor, the family would appreciate in lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Services to be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, with a celebration of life at 5:00 p.m. at the ANAF Rockwood Unit 341, Wilton Avenue.
