Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY OLYNIUK February 14, 1921 - January 16, 2007 It is with sadness that the family of Mary Olyniuk announce her passing on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at the Concordia Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Steve; son Eugene; grandson Patrick; sisters, Stella and Jeannie and brother Bill. Mary is survived by her children, Joyce (Stan), Wayne (Barb), Jeannie (Merv), Rhine (Colleen) and daughter-in-law Gail and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sisters, Pauline, Emily, Ann and her brother Rudy. Mary was born in Invermay, SK on February 14, 1921. She married Steve on June 13, 1937. Together, Steve and Mary farmed and raised five children in Saskatchewan. They moved to Winnipeg in 1975 where they resided for the rest of their married life together. Mary was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In her younger years, she enjoyed embroidery, cross stitch, perogy making and looking after her grandchildren. She was a member of Kildonan Seniors New Horizons and an active member of the CWL at St. Anne Church. She enjoyed Bingo every Thursday and going for her social outing to the hairdresser every Saturday until her passing. We wish to sincerely thank Mom's home care case coordinator, Darren Luellman and his many home care support staff from Access River East who assisted Mom for the past several years, allowing her to live independently. Thank you to her supportive friends at Oakland Gardens. Thank you to Fr. Klimchuk who visited Mom at home on several occasions. Also, a special thank you to Winnipeg Paramedic Service and the caring and compassionate staff at the Concordia Hospital. Prayers will be said at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas Ave. on Sunday, January 21 at 7:00 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church on Monday, January 22 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Transcona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Knysh Funeral Chapel. We love you Mom and Baba. Vichnaya Pamyat
