ROBERT (BOB) ALLAN GALLAHER After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep regret that we announce the death of Bob Gallaher on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 77 years. Remaining to forever cherish Bob's memory are his beloved wife, Joyce of 56 years of marriage; his children, Chris Collins (Ken), Susan Bennett (Bob), Jim (Anna) and Bill (Laura); grandchildren, Steve, Pat, Kelly, Crystal, Gary, Karleigh and Scott; great-grandchild, Justin. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Eleanor and brother Ken. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Bob had a 40 year career in the printing business and was fortunate to have enjoyed an early retirement. He loved traveling to the south, especially Hawaii. Bob also belonged to Unit 283, of the Army and Navy and he and Joyce enjoyed many a Saturday afternoon there. Bob's funeral service will be held on Monday, January 22 at 10:30 a.m. in the Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Avenue (Corner of Mount Royal Road and Ness Avenue). For those who wish, parking is available in the Seventh Day Adventist Church parking lot located on Ness Avenue. The family extends a special thank you to Dr. C. Ramsay and the staff at Health Sciences Centre on floors H3 and H6 for their care and compassion shown towards Bob. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or The Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
