JULIA AURELIA POCZIK Peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at the Grace General Hospital after a brief illness, Julia Aurelia passed away at the age of 79 years. Remaining to forever cherish Julia's memory are her sister; Agnes Remias (nee Poczik), niece; Sylvia Shettler (nee Remias) and husband; Robert and son Todd Shettler as well as many friends and relatives. She is predeceased by her parents; Elizabeth and Anthony Poczik and sisters Kornelia and Mary. At the time of her passing, Julia was a resident of Winnipeg and a faithful member of the church. She spent many years with the Sisters of Social Service teaching kindergarten and primary grades. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 27 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 271 Hampton Street with Rev. Msgr. Michael Moore, presiding. Interment will be held in the Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery, 4387 Main Street. Special thanks to Mel and Rochelle and the staff at their home on Ferry Road and her friends at the Catholic Women's League whose company she enjoyed so much. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Julia's memory to the charity of one's choice.
