BROESKY December 8, 1920 January 18, 2007 On Thursday, January 18, 2007, at the St. Norbert Nursing Home, Martin Broesky peacefully passed away at the age of 86 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Agatha (nee Wiens); his children, Richard (wife Louise), Ron (wife Gladys), Janet (husband Ken), Robert (wife Julie), Valerie, Murray (wife Gina). He also leaves behind his brothers, Peter, Cornie (wife Mary), Frank (wife Ann), Edward (wife Margaret), George; his sisters, Susie, Lenora and Mary; as well as many nieces and nephews and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father Abram and Maria Broesky and four brothers and two sisters. Martin was born in Hanover municipality between Grunthal and Steinbach. He served in the Second World War as a private and stationed Osborne Barracks (Winnipeg), Peterborough, Fort Henry, Kingston Hospital (Ontario) as a medic and MP. Martin was very proud to be a Second World War veteran. He worked in construction for over 40 years until his retirement. It took him from coast to coast and almost to the North Pole. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Glen Lawn reception centre.
