EMMA MACTAVISH (KING) 1920 - 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emma MacTavish on January 18, 2007 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Emma was predeceased by her husband Bill in 2004; her parents Emma and Fred King; sisters Mary, Evelyn and Dorothy; brothers Fred, George and Harry. She is survived by her five children Dennis (Peggy), Carol, Sharon (Allan), Donna (Dave) and Terri (Bill); her sisters Ruth, Helen (Keith), Audrey; brother Lawrence; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren. Emma was the sixth youngest of eleven children and was raised in Clarkleigh, MB. Mom worked at a variety of places including Winnipeg Women's Business Club and Sears. Mom enjoyed knitting, card games, bingo and everyone's company. Emma was a wonderful wife and mother and was known for her devotion and loyalty to her family. She was a well liked and kind hearted person who was always willing to help anyone. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Kildonan United Church, 187 Kilbride Ave., on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
