KERRI JAN SHARPE
Born: Oct 14, 1968
Date of Passing: Jan 19, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKERRI JAN SHARPE Peacefully at St. Amant on January 19, 2007 surrounded by her family, our beloved Kerri Jan became Heaven's newest angel. Kerri Jan is survived by her loving parents, Allan and Gwen; her dear brother Kevin (Jodi); nephews, Michael and Matthew and niece Laura. She is also survived by her Grandmother Marjorie Ball and many aunts, uncles and cousins. As well, Kerri leaves a host of friends and her St. Amant family. She was predeceased by Grandparents, Wilfred Ball (1988), Glenn Sharpe (1999) and Vera Sharpe (2003). Kerri was born in Winnipeg on October 14, 1968 and after more than four months struggling to survive came home to her loving family on February 28, 1969 still weighing less than five pounds. Although Cerebral Palsy consumed her physically, her mind was sharp as a tack and in her own unique way she communicated and demonstrated so much love. Somehow she could make us understand what she wanted or was thinking. Kerri always had a beautiful smile for everyone. We will forever treasure the memories of her time with us. Kerri loved to travel with her parents and brother making trips to Florida, California, eastern Canada (where she acquired a taste for lobster), Minneapolis, the Rockies, as well as many shorter trips to visit friends and family. This past August she was delighted to attend a football game in Regina travelling with friends from St. Amant. Kerri was a dedicated sports fan; attending many Bomber, Goldeye, Jets and Moose games with Kevin or Dad. Kevin introduced Kerri to wrestling at a very early age and to the very end of her life she was a consummate wrestling fan. She fell in love with Mickey Mouse during our trip to Florida in 1978 and that love affair never ended. The family is grateful for the ongoing loving care provided at St. Amant to Kerri over the past 29 years and particularly over the past few weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kerri Jan's memory may be made to the St. Amant Foundation, 440 River Road, Winnipeg, MB R2M 3Z9. A celebration of Kerri's life will take place Tuesday, January 23, 2:00 p.m. at Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Road, Winnipeg. May you dance among the northern lights and sing with the angels. You will be forever loved. Arrangements by: Birchwood Funeral Chapel Winnipeg Steinbach, MB 1-888-454-1030 or 1-204-346-1030
