Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) HARVEY DOWSON Peacefully on January 18, 2007 at the Red River Place, Selkirk, Bob Dowson, aged 67 years, a longtime resident of Selkirk, MB. Bob leaves surviving his beloved wife, Phyllis; daughter Kimberley (David); sons, Mike (Janice) and Darren (Christine); grandchildren, Jeremy, Alex-arissa, Kyle and Katie; and sisters, Louise (Brian) and Holly-lynn (Larry). Bob was born in Winnipeg on April 13, 1939 and lived his early years in Garson and has lived in Selkirk since 1974. He had been employed with Crown Packaging for many years until retiring in 1992. He then worked up at Gillam for three years. Bob loved old cars and had a keen eye for them, he also collected stamps and coins. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping, and later visits to Willie and Mamie Pruden's at Garson, and to Loon Straits and Wallace Lake. Pallbearers will be, David Milner, Jeremy Milner, Kyle Dowson, Jack Bird, Dwayne Bird and Brian Paul Lindel. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Rev. Brad Elliott officiating. Viewing prior to service with cremation to follow. Pallbearers will be, David Milner, Jeremy Milner, Kyle Dowson, Jack Bird, Dwayne Bird and Brian Paul Rindel. Special thanks to the staff at Red River Place for their dedicated and concerned care.
