MYRNA DADSWELL Peacefully, after a long battle with cancer, on Friday, January 19, 2007, Myrna Dadswell of Komarno, MB went home to be with her Lord. Her beloved father Cyril Dadswell predeceased her. Myrna will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Ethel Dadswell of Komarno, MB; her sister Ruth Coughlan of Prince Albert, SK; her brother Donald (Irene) Dadswell of Hundred Mile House, BC; her Aunt Gladys Hanisch; her Uncle Harold Hanisch and her Uncle Gerald Petrash and his son Fred and numerous cousins. Myrna was born on March 6, 1948 in Kenora, ON; She grew up and went to school there before coming to Winnipeg in 1968. Myrna worked in Winnipeg for about 18 years, 14 of those years were at the Winnipeg Winter Club. Myrna has lived and worked in the Interlake Area for the last 24 years. During that time, Myrna has been very involved in her community. She has been a member of the Golden Aires; the Narcisse W.I., the Komarno Hall and her church. Myrna sang like an angel and played the accordion and organ every Monday at various seniors homes, funerals, church and many other community events. Myrna was well known for her baking and it was loved by all. The family would like to thank the staff of the palliative care unit at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. Friends may call to pay their respects on Monday, January 22 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. A private interment will be followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23 at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Pallbearers are Evan Finney, Keith Cook, Ron Goodman, Rudy Singbiel, Ernie Benedictson and Bill Howard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tyler Goodman Fund at the Gimli Credit Union.
