Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALIDA CLAEYS (nee LAMBERT) August 12, 1907 January 20, 2007 Alida passed away peacefully in her sleep, 20 days into her 100th year, on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the Foyer Notre Dame, Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB, formerly of Holland, MB beloved wife of the late Frank Claeys. Alida leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her loving memory, two children, Gaston (Rachel) Claeys and Mariette Buydens; seven grandchildren, Charlene (Darrell) Godard, Darwin (Theresa) Claeys, David (Lynn) Claeys, Donald (Angela) DeKoninck, Ronald (Joyce) DeKoninck, Corinne Henderson (Grant North) and Lisa Buydens and 14 great-grandchildren, Theresa, Robert, Danielle and Kristen DeKoninck, Kimberly DeKoninck (Adam), Scott and Mathew DeKoninck, Kyrsten, Jaimie and Allison Godard and Matthew, Megan and Sarah Claeys and Rayna Harrison. Alida is also survived by one sister-in-law Anna Lambert of Oedelem, Belgium, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank Claeys; daughter Cecile (Leon) DeKoninck; son-in-law Lawrence Buydens; parents, Alfons and Silvie Lambert; one brother Gaston Lambert; three half brothers, Germain (Elodia) and Leon (Juliana) D'Hoore of Belgium and Rene (Edna) D'Hoore of Pilot Mound, MB. Prayers will be said from the Budz Funeral Chapel, Holland, MB on Friday, January 26, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated from the St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, Holland, MB on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the St. John Berchmans Parish Cemetery. Following the committal service at the cemetery, everyone is cordially invited to join the family for a funeral luncheon at the Hollander Motor Hotel, Holland, MB. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Alida's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba Inc., Unit 10, Mezzanine, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
