Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALLAN LAUBENSTEIN It is with great sadness that the family of Allan Laubenstein announces his passing on Monday, January 22, 2007 at the Victoria General Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jeannie; his children, Ellen, Howard and Lisa, Enid and John, Claire and Geoff. Bonkers, Grandpa or Pa has seven wonderful grand-children, Stephanie, Stephen, Chris, Ainsley, Ian, Jessica and Zak. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Agnes; his sister Bunts and his brother Carl. Allan was born April 16, 1924. He began to work in the motion picture industry in 1941 as a wartime replacement as a shipper for Twentieth Century Fox. In 1942 he joined the R.C.A.F. graduating as a Sargeant wireless air gunner. He returned to Fox in October 1945 as a shipper. In July 1972 he joined Prairie Allied Booking Association. He retired in June 1989. Al enjoyed his summers at Ponemah working on the cottage and enjoying happy hour with his family and friends. The family would like to thank all the staff of the Victoria General Hospital for their understanding and compassion at this difficult time. Cremation has taken place and a memorial reception will be held on Thursday, January 25 between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations to a charity of your choosing would be appreciated.
