Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN (EVANGELINE) MORISON (nee JACKSON) November 4, 1926 - January 18, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother. Helen was predeceased by her husband Stuart, and her sister Maxine. Remaining to cherish her memory are her sons, Brian (Carol), Kevin (Sandra), Fraser (Ute), Robert, and daughter Pamela (Mike); grandchildren, Jeff (Angela), Spencer (Maureen), Bryce, Scott and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Drew and Maya. Helen is also survived by her brother Glenn and family of Vancouver BC, and two sisters-in-law, Margaret of Nanoose Bay BC and Marion and family of Winnipeg, MB. Mom was born in Kenora ON. And spent her childhood years there. Mom joined the service in 1943 until 1945. During her service she was stationed at Fort Osborne Barracks in Winnipeg where she met Stuart and the two of them married in 1944. After the war they started their family in Winnipeg until Dad's work brought a move to Squamish B.C in 1969 where they remained until returning back to Winnipeg in 1989. Mom suffered a serious stroke in 1996 so Dad decided to move them both to St. Albert, AB where their eldest son Brian, wife Carol and family reside and assisted with Mom's care. Upon Stuart's passing in 2002, Mom took full time residence at the Youville Nursing Home until her passing. Special thanks to the staff at Youville Nursing Home in St. Albert for their constant care. A loving thank you to son Brian and sister-in-law Carol for their daily support and care for Mom for the last 10 years. As per Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment in St. Albert, AB will take place on Friday, January 26. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
