ESTHER LEONIE LANNOO Peacefully, Esther Lannoo passed away on Monday, January 22, 2007 at the Pembina Place Personal Care Home with her family at her side. Esther was born on March 18, 1918 and lived her whole life in Fort Garry. She was predeceased by her husband Adiel in 1971; brothers, George (Doris), Harry (Dorothy), and Joe (Rita) Vandenberghe. She is survived by sons, Arthur (Shirley), Gerard (Margaret) Lannoo; daughter Maria (Bob) Anderson; grandchildren, Lawrence, Cheryl, Scott, David and the youngest, Christy-Anne, who lovingly cared for her grandma for the three years prior to Mom's entering personal care, and sister-in-law Leva Lannoo, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by the Anderson children, Deanne Heavysege (and her sons), Lynn (Brett) Paulhus, and Gary (Lisa) Anderson. Mom unconditionally loved all her grand-children. She thrived on working or helping others, pitching in with her families in their home and yard projects and driving her friends around. The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to all the dedicated, kind and caring staff at Pembina Place Care Home where Esther lived since July, 2006. The funeral service will be held at St. Vital Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Hwy. on Thursday, January 25 with viewing at 12:30 p.m., followed by prayers 12:45 p.m. and Mass at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Thomson In the Park Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer Society, 10 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2 or charity of your choice.
