WILLIAM T. (BILL) LAVALLEE January 4, 1949 - January 21, 2007 William T. Bill Lavallee passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at the age of 58 years, at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, MB. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years, Evelyn; son Terry (Christine) of Steinbach, MB, and his two daughters, Louise (Todd) Derksen of Redmond, WA, Billie-Joe (Dean) Wowchuk of Dauphin, MB; his four grandchildren, Kaira, Kristen, Cole and Grace. He also leaves to mourn his father, Fred Rieu and sister, Melody Boyer. Bill was a graduate of Red River College and devoted the last 28 years of his career as an Engineer at River Heights Community Centre. In his leisure he enjoyed spending quality time with family and the love of his life, Evelyn. His family will remember him as a strong man with a determined mind and a gentle heart. He had a thirst for knowledge and had only begun to travel the country and truly enjoyed visiting new places. We will miss his warm sense of humour and kind spirit. Don't think of him as gone away- his journey's just begun life holds so many facets- this earth is only one, Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the fears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years, Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away, And think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched... for nothing loved is ever lost- and he was loved so much. The family acknowledges and appreciates the staff at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, MB for the care, respect and kindness shown to Bill in his final days.
