MARIA BRODOWICZ October 7, 1957 January 22, 2007 Peacefully, with her family and friends by her side, Maria Brodowicz passed away on January 22, 2007 at Seven Oaks General Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Maria is survived by her husband Zygmunt; daughter Katarzyna; son David; her mother Bronislawa; father Mieczyslaw; brothers, Andrzej and Boguslaw; mother-in-law Sabina; father-in-law Zdzislaw, and sister-in-law Malgorzata in Poland. Maria was a woman who dedicated herself thoroughly to every task she undertook. She was a wonderful mother and wife looking after her children for many years and later going on to work for the Salvation Army, always friendly and helping others. Maria was a friend to everyone and her family was most important to her. Her determination, persistence and love for life enabled her to battle through this illness for seven long years. We were so blessed in our lives to be given a wife and mother with such a gentle soul. She was a loving, generous, devoted, caring and compassionate woman who always put our needs and everyone else's before her own. A very special thank-you to Dr. J. Leazak and all the nurses and staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital for your understanding, care and compassion. Also thanks to our friends and all the good-hearted people who were there to help us through this difficult time. God bless you all and you will never be forgotten. Maria, dear mother, wife, sister and good friend we will always have the comfort of knowing deep in our hearts that you are with us in spirit and looking out for us.
