Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAMELIA CUA LOZANO August 22, 1949 - January 20, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother and grandmother Amelia Cua Lozano, on January 20, 2007 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Amelia will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Conrado (Conrad); her children, daughter Florapunzel (Razel) Mar and son-in-law Wyman Mar, sons Dendon (Don) and Joseph (Mel); her grandsons, Christopher and Alexander Mar, both of whom and adored dearly; her family back home in the Philippines, her sister Filomena (Ging) Cua Deang, and brothers Manuel Cua and Johnny Cua; numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Amelia was born and raised in the Philippines. She and her family arrived here in Winnipeg on September 7, 1986. Back home, she was a teacher and taught high school for 16 years. Here, she attended Red River Community College and got a job as an Early Childhood Educator at the YM-YWCA daycare downtown, where she worked for over 13 years. Amelia really enjoyed working there and she had made lots of wonderful, caring and loyal friends over the years. Amelia was a very loving, caring and thoughtful wife, mother and grandmother. She helped a lot of people, especially her family back home. She loved to cook, bake and listen to music. She will be remembered for her zest for life and her passion for making people laugh and smile. She had the gift of gab and genuinely enjoyed meeting and talking to people. Amelia was very smart, witty, charming, bubbly and fun to be with. She was also a very good listener and a dear friend to many people. We would like to thank the wonderful nurses, doctors and healthcare workers at Seven Oaks Hospital for their compassion and outstanding care. Special thanks to all the caring and dedicated homecare workers and nurses for their kindness and excellent care within the last four years. A celebration of Amelia's life will be held on Saturday and Sunday, January 27 and 28 at 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street. Church service will be held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church at 355 Andrews on Mountain Ave. on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul and reception to follow back at Knysh Funeral Chapel, with date and time later to be announced.
