CLIFFORD GORDON HOKANSON Peacefully, with his loving family at his side, Clifford Gordon Hokanson died January 22, 2007 at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of Dorothy for 52 years. Son of Rudolph and Edith Hokanson. Loving father of Brenda (Dale), Lila (Perry), Lawrence (Liz), Glen (Yvonne), Sherry (David). Cherished granddad to Erin (Rob), Colin (Amanda), Scott, Andrew, Matthew (Beth), Ryan (Jenni); great-granddad to Michaela, Rheanna, Kate, Donavan. Survived by his brother Lyle (Bill) Hokanson. Clifford worked in exploration drilling in the north for many years. He had a great love for the Northern Territories especially it's scenery and wildlife. After retiring, Cliff became an avid gardener, providing an abundance of tomatoes, peppers and zucchini for his eagerly awaiting family. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren teaching them to enjoy life. He will be greatly missed by us all. Private family interment will be followed by a memorial service at Arborg (Mackenzie) Funeral Chapel, Arborg, MB at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2007. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I had a heart operation July 02 2015. New tricuspid aorta (pigs valve)and dacron tube for my ascending aorta. A host of past family seemed to be with me in spirit, I know that Clifford was there as well. I truly loved him as I grew up in Cormorant and Lynn Lake, etc. Heart operation doing well, I pray that my three broken lower back bones will also heal. God bless us All. - Posted by: Keith Hanson (Nephew) on: Aug 03, 2017

  • Grandad will be sorely missed. He was the type of man who could fill a room just by quietly and proudly watching the family he loved at any gathering. He was quick with a song, and a saying or two, and taught us all to think, and dance, and sing from the time we could walk and talk. We will always remember him, especially when we pass his teachings, and sayings down to the little ones of our family as they grow up. He will always be a big part of our family, even in his absence. - Posted by: Erin DesRochers (Family) on: Jan 25, 2007
