Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIDA (PEARL) EMMS (nee McKNIGHT) Peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2007 Pearl passed away at her home in Teulon at the age of 77. Pearl will be sadly missed by her husband of 59 years, Alfred; her six children, Alfred (Karen), Pearl (Renald) Line, Ross (Irene), Steven, Roselie (Jess), Mabel (Tom) Bedard; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and numerous family and friends. Pearl was born in Rosetown, SK August 9, 1929 and grew up in the Gunnworth area. In May of 1944 the McKnight family moved to Manitoba and resided on a farm seven miles from Oak Point. Mom finished Grade 8 at Radway School then took correspondence for Grades 9 and 10. For a short time she worked as a housekeeper. Pearl married Alfred on September 25, 1947 when she was 18. Mom and Dad made their home in Ideal and raised their family there. Mom was a long time member of the Inwood Women's Institute. She enjoyed her outings with the other ladies. Mom could often be seen enjoying a good book, sewing or doing crafts. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Ross and Ida McKnight; granddaughters, Jennifer and Valerie; sister Marg. Funeral service will be held at Oak Point Hall at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27 with viewing from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Oak Point Cemetery. Lunch will follow at the hall. Pallbearers will be Dwayne, Slade, and Chad Line, Steve Emms, Ross Emms Jr., Terry, Jay, Chris Sweezie, Kyle Batungbacal. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
