JIM DELUCA It is with sadness that we announce the passing on January 24, 2007, of our wonderful father, grandfather and friend. Jim was predeceased by his beloved wife Wilma, his parents and his brothers, Tom and Bud. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Gary, Tony (Daniel, Alanna and Tamara), and daughter and son-in-law Alexis and Tony Mooney (Owen, Susan and Elliot, Peter and Jocelyn and Sean). He will also be missed by his sisters, Rita Armstrong, Kathleen Kinahan (Tom) and Ruth Kylander; brothers, John and Bill (Marie); sister-in-law Ivy DeLuca and in-laws, Edna and Lorne Gretsinger. Jim was born in Port Arthur, ON in 1928 and moved to Pine Falls in 1950 to play hockey for the Pine Falls Paper Kings. In Pine Falls, he met and married his wife Wilma and together they raised their family and enjoyed their life in the community, particularly the years with the Pine Falls Oldtimers. Jim was a longtime member of the Pine Falls Golf Club and was always ready to play a game of crib, poker or bridge with family and friends. We will miss the many wonderful meals that Dad made for us, especially his spaghetti and salad and we will always smile when we remember how he loved to tease his grand-children. The family would like to thank the staff of Health Sciences Centre's emergency, GA5 and GD5 wards for their compassionate care of our Dad and we would also like to thank his friends for their many kindnesses over the past few years. Donations may be made in Jim's memory to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, January 29 at 1:30 p.m. at Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Church, Powerview, MB with Rev. Fr. James Gray presiding.
