Date of Passing: Jan 23, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHYLLIS VIVIAN BEAQUE Mom passed peacefully in her sleep January 23, 2007 at Concordia Hospital and has left us to rejoin Dad who she has missed terribly since his passing in 2000. Mom was born in Winnipeg, October 27, 1922 and lived a simple life dedicated to her sons, Jim (Donna) and Ken, as well as her grandchildren, Kimberley, Kendra, Ainsley, Jennifer, Brent and Ashley, and her six great-grandchildren. During the winter months, Mom spent her days baking an endless supply of cookies for her sons and their friends, reading, visiting with her many special lifelong friends and shopping and lunching with Donna, to whom she was especially close. For 60 wonderful years summers were spent at the cottage with the family. Many a wonderful night was spent around the fire talking, laughing and enjoying each other and our neighbours. A special thanks to all of her good friends at Lion's Cove, especially Al and Lorna who were of tremendous assistance to her. Additionally we thank Dr. Knezic for her wonderful care and compassion. We also thank the staff in Unit One at Concordia Hospital. A memorial service will be held in Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway on Monday, January 29 at 1:00 p.m.. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg MB R3C 4G2 or to the Salvation Army, 55 Donald St., Suite 500, Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8.
